The American Empire

America and Rome can be classified as being two very similar civilizations in many different ways throughout history. Rome was one of the most dominant world powers in all of mankind. It had authoritative power, ideas and innovation, and technology that would change the earth forever. American on the other hand is much alike because they are also one of the worlds greatest powers and always strive for more power. Rome and America also had two of the most powerful militaries in the history of the world, conquering anything that stands in their way or threatens them. Rome and America have also controlled land outside of their territories and have had a different legislative, judicial, and executive branch. This shows that these two civilizations and nations are very neat and keep order with the people. Both of these nations also had to overthrow a stronger power in order to become a world superpower, for example how America overthrew and left the British in the Revolutionary War. American and Rome also have bigger exports than imports which means a rising debt. Rome had debt and America is also in terrible debt to other countries. Both have many similarities in individual freedoms like trial by jury, innocent until proven guilty and many others. In all, these two powerful nations are much alike for many reasons but were just based on different time periods. Rome eventually collapsed and fell but America is still the strongest nation in the world. I do not think America will fall for a very long time. Technology is too advanced and precise in these days for America to not be able to do something about it.
Even though my blog talked about the other side of the argument, i understand your points and they are very good. This post was very intresting and eye opening and talks about some points that really make me think about your ideas. The talk about debt and how both Rome and America overcame wars to become so powerful are both very solid points. Overall, i dont completely agree with your overall post but even though I didnt, your post was still really good and had some solid points.
